The Komodo Dragon is the largest living species of lizard, with an average length of 7 to 10 feet, and a weight of about 154 pounds!

The Komodo Dragon can be found in the islands of Komodo, Rinca, Flores, Gili Motang and Gili Dasami in central Indonesia. It is dark green, gray or black, which allows it to blend in with its surroundings and discreetly approach its prey by surprise. This carnivore feeds mainly on carrion but can kill prey. The bite of the Komodo Dragon is venomous, the bacteria on their teeth and their saliva are very effective for getting food. The life expectancy of the Komodo Dragon is 20 years.
